objective.
The objective of creating the branding for Buddha's Bazaar Smoke Shop was to establish a visual identity that accurately reflects the values and personality of the business while appealing to its target audience. The branding must be distinctive, memorable, and communicate the essence of the business.
To achieve this objective, the solution involved designing a logo that incorporates imagery and colors that are associated with spirituality, tranquility, and mindfulness. The logo also needed to incorporate an element of smoking or smoke-culture.
solution.
The end result was a cohesive mark that embodied the spiritual nature of eastern culture in the form of a meditating figure. This was created by mirroring two “B” forms. This figure was put into the shape of a lotus flower, but can also be interpreted as a hemp leaf due to the strong green coloring.
digital graphics.
Digital and motion graphics are crucial elements in marketing and promotion for any company. As a graphic designer, I have utilized these tools to help Buddha’s Bazaar effectively reach and engage with our audience.
Digital graphics, such as social media graphics, website design, and digital ads, are essential for promoting the brand online. They help to communicate information about the company and its products in a visually compelling way.
Motion graphics, such as animated videos, are an effective way to communicate complex information or tell a story. They can capture the attention of the viewer and convey a message in an engaging and memorable way. Motion graphics are also great for use in video marketing campaigns, social media ads, and website banners.
These tools have allowed us to create visually appealing and engaging content that resonates with our customers and reinforces our brand identity. Additionally, these graphics have helped us to stand out in a crowded marketplace and attract new customers.
print.
There have been loads of print media that I’ve designed for over the last several years, which include, but aren’t limited to:
Brochures
Mailers
Vehicle Wraps
Posters and Flyers
Business Cards
Stickers
Yard Signs
Billboards and Banners
Event Displays
In-Store Signage and Promo
Print media was an important component of Buddha’s Bazaar’s marketing strategy as it reached a different audience and offered a tactile experience that digital media cannot provide. While digital media is immediate and easily shareable, print media has a longer shelf life and can create a lasting impression on its audience.
mascot.
To help boost interest in the business within certain demographics, I was asked to create a mascot in the styling of a cute anime girl. Again, creativity and details were left totally up to me, and I believe I landed on something special. I drew up a typical Japanese school girl design with a few brand-related tidbits here and there, gave her a cute bob cut, and of course colorized everything with our brand colors.
Behold, Toki is born. Clever name, huh?
This opened up avenues for a lot of cool promotion ideas, one of which was us hiring a local cosplayer to dress up as Toki and make an appearance at one of the store locations. It also gave me another useful assets to include on printed media and the like.
